Fillers

28_Edited.jpg

Injectable fillers are approved by the FDA for cosmetic injections into sub dermal facial tissues.

Injectable fillers are administered to my Dubai and Abu Dhabi patients to diminish wrinkles and aging lines of the face such as the nasolabial folds (nose to mouth lines), and marionette lines (sad mouth corners).

Injectable fillers can also be used to improve cheek volume and contouring of the chin, reshaping the nose, lips, elevating the eyebrows and sharpening the jawlines. Fillers are also one of the most common injections to treat the dark circles.

Fillers Q&A

What is Filler?
Fillers add volume to particular facial areas, restoring fullness without the need for surgery or downtime. The top-selling fillers in the United States and Middle East are hyaluronic acid fillers.

What areas do dermal fillers treat?

Fillers Dr. Yavari uses are formulated to either lift your cheeks, smooth lines around your mouth known as “smile lines” or “smoker’s lines,” add plumpness to your lips or smooth wrinkles near your nose. You may benefit from one type of filler or a combination of two or more.

What is the treatment like?
Your dermal filler treatment session may take 15 minutes to an hour, depending on how many injections you receive and in which areas of your face. Before starting the injection process, Dr. Yavari conducts a facial analysis and discusses your medical history and goals. While most fillers contain a numbing agent to minimize discomfort, you may request ice or topical numbing cream for added ease.

When do I see results?
Unlike other cosmetic procedures that produce gradual effects, results of fillers Dr. Yavari uses appear immediately. You leave your appointment with more youthful-looking skin.

Are there side effects?
The most common side effects — such as bruising, pain, redness, and swelling — tend to be mild or moderate and temporary. If you have multiple or severe allergies or allergies to filler ingredients, do not use them. Tell Dr. Yavari if you have history of excessive scarring or a pigment disorder or if you plan to have a chemical peel, laser or Ultherapy/Thermage treatment soon after.

Do I need to do anything special after treatment?
You should be able to return to your usual activities after your treatment. Manufacturers recommend limiting alcoholic beverages, significant sun or heat exposure, and strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

How long do the results last?
Because each dermal filler formula is different, results vary. If you’re concerned about the longevity of your results, talk to Dr. Yavari prior to your treatment. While some fillers last for six months, there are some certain fillers that may last longer.

How much do fillers cost?
The cost of treatment varies depending on the filler and how much you need for your desired results. While less expensive fillers exist, quality is important. Dr. Yavari can help you determine your best option.
